Please note: PBBooking version 4 requires PHP 7.0+ due to a dependency on Twig v2.  If you do not have PHP 7.0+ emails (including validation emails) will NOT be sent to clients and the booking process will not advance.  If you are running PHP < 7.0 please install PBBooking version 3.2.x.

PBBooking v3.2.x is available at the bottom of the downloads page.

Please note: PBBooking has been discontinued.

As of February 2018 we made the decision to discontinue PBBooking. Joomla extensions proved to be a non viable business model and I needed to take work elsewhere to pay bills. Support will be provided to users with current subscriptions until the end of those subscriptions.

There are no plans to support Joomla versions beyond Joomla 3.8.

Versions: 4.0

In PBBooking v4 I started consolidated the code between the back end manage diaries and front end diary management module to allow the same functionality to be accessed regardless of how the management module is accessed.

When upgrading from a previous version, or when installing on a new site, you may encounter the following screen when accessing Manage Diaries in the back end.

This means that the administrator module has not been published.

To correct this follow the following steps:

Firstly, go to your Joomla administrator Extensions menu and select Modules.  By default this will only show modules published to the Site (front end).  Select the left most select box and change Site to Administrator.

Once the modules have reloaded find the Hot Chilli Software Online Booking: Diary Management module in the list of modules.  You may need to search for it if you have a lot of Administrator modules published already.

Even if the module is published already, open the module. The module may already show as published but the module_menu linkage hasn't been set in the database.  Even if the module is published already click on the module and ensure that Status is set to Published.  Then click Save & Close.

Now return to the Manage Diaries page and and the module will be published and manage diaries functions will be working correctly.
